Keith was proud of his new conservatory enjoying a strong modern look. Frustrated with his boggy garden were the grass struggled to survive.
We fitted drainage, terraced the new lawn. A new simple and modern patio with Symphony charcoal and birch planks was complemented with Drystack wall veneers in Oyster and Nero applied to the house wall. The outside tap was channeled into the wall and moved out of the way. New lighting makes it all stunning into the evening.

We have been transforming gardens and building for over 20 years. With that in mind, we have returned to several gardens many times so they have a story to tell.
This is one of those stories!
In August 2012 we visited this garden and found this.
A full-garden landscaping project, which included levelling the garden, building a seated decking area and constructing retaining walls.
I don’t apologise for the length of this narrative because it was a massive project.
Check out the tongue in cheek video below.
The couple desired that rather than move let me completely transform their home and double the footprint.
The wish list consisted of an Orangery with side extension with a vaulted ceiling. Let there be more light was every second sentence, so maximum glazing minimal frame thickness and plenty of roof light.
Within this space, they needed a drying room for their sailing tackle, downstairs wet room including toilet. A large lounge. Fitted kitchen with diner. All with a wet underfloor heating system.
Outside we paved all around, creating paths and a new driveway with Marshalls large size tegula blocks. Raised timber purlin borders and a security fence and gate.
Finally, we dropped the road kerb and re tarmaced the pavement.
Boom – complete transformation , that’s why we’re are called ‘One Call For All’.
Another simple design with Arrento buff paving – only available in 2x2s pointed with resin and edged with charcoal block.
As we existed we blinged up the front with Symphony copper planks and edged with specially cut Symphony Buff brickets – simple but effective.
Another new build in Sandbach. We designed a French oak and cedar shingle shelter with a Chinaman’s hat that allows then to have a fire pit in there.
A raised border with concrete block and timber purlins is masked with Stoneface dry stack slate veneers and coped with Granit Eclipse bullnose units.
The paving is Symphony Blauw with blue detail.
We planted it all out including fig trees, strawberries, a herb garden and much more – we know a good Nursery – ha!
Mrs Drew wanted a drive of circles with an area that she could park a works van at weekends.
We combined Argent Buff blocks with Metro grey, maroon and rose planks. An added twist with the large circle laid to grass guard which allows grass to grow through allowing parking but keeping the softer look.
The Johnsons wanted us to remove some major trees and stumps and replace their front wall, we matched the house brick and coped with Granit bullnose units.
They also wanted to extend the drive to allow for three cars. The original design was circular but at the last minute, I changed the design to angular. Worried that the design was too busy using the whole Argent and Metro ranges and colours they loved it and added as we progressed.
Miss Taylor wanted us to level up her back garden and build a completely maintenance free with an area for her dog to rest.
We designed our “Plonker seat”, taking a traditional loving seat idea, adding a central wall of water – or white wine at the inaugural bar b que – with its remote controlled LED lighting. Seats for two with under storage for the red wine bottles also backlit with LEDs.
Two Argent circle kits were integrated to form children’s maize puzzles.
Argent blocks were laid in a lattice pattern around the perimeter of the area and Granit Eclipse Paving laid in a random pattern pointed in black.
The front garden was laid to Granit Eclipse Ember. A raised bed built out of concrete block and masked with dry stack Stoneface veneer Oyster coped with Lazaro Marble Pearl Bullnose center stones and a flash of Astroturf.
Rope Lane garden nursery has just successfully completed a major project in my garden.
I have recently bought a luxury lodge and needed a wide range of services to complete the installation. The preparation work included demolishing a concrete garage, relocating my garden shed onto a new concrete slab plinth and digging out a 40′ x 20′ area for a concrete base for the Lodge to stand on. They also had to excavate a major hole in my garden for the installation of an LPG tank which they then backfilled with sand, gravel and topped off with soil.
The base area was prepared with a hard-core infill and then topped with 8 inches of concrete in two lorry loads. Also let into the concrete area where the services required for the Lodge, electricity, mains water, gutter water, sewage and LPG gas. Rope Lane liaised with the suppliers of the Lodge and understood exactly where all the services needed to be before the Lodge was delivered. When the Lodge was delivered again Rope Lane nurseries provided all the fully qualified labour to connect all the services.
The job was finished off with a relocated run of fencing and side gate followed by 2 1/2 tonnes of gravel to restore the drive.
Rope Lane nursery has coordinated all the various trades required to complete this job with superb professionalism and attention to detail.
The Rope Lane garden nursery strapline of “one call for all” is the most accurate and apt way to describe their services and I would heartily recommend them to anyone!
